Invited by the Official Tourism Authority of Thailand, Spanish photographer and cyclist Alexandre Gazquez set off on an adventurous bikepacking trip with a close friend. Over the course of six days, they pedalled from the vibrant chaos of Bangkok’s backstreets to the calm, lush beauty of Chiang Mai.

They faced intense heat, unfamiliar terrain, and long days in the saddle, all while fully immersing themselves in the rich culture and character Thailand has to offer.

This trip unfolded in a story about resilience, friendship, and exploration. The scorching temperatures, surprise detours, and all the added challenges gave the experience grit and depth.
